Who will win the NBA Champion?
It's officially Playoff time in the NBA.
Some exciting game 1's have been played. The Miami Heat with steal in game against the Milwaukee Bucks 130 - 117. Jimmy Butler with a huge 35 pt game to lead the heat to victory. Giannis Antetokounmpo exits the game in the first quarter with a hard fall that led to a back injury. The Miami Heat's Tyler Herro exits the game with a broken hand.
The Boston Celtics Beat the Atlanta hawks 112 - 99. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 29 pts, Jayson Tatum scored 25 pts and Derrick White scored 24. The Celtics are a well-rounded team, and they are strong on both sides of the ball. Can Trae Young and the Hawks make adjustments to win game 2, or will the Celtics win again to go up 2-0.
The Philadelphia 76ers had an impressive victory over the Brooklyn Nets 121 - 101. James Harden brought in 23 pts with an amazing 13 assists, along with MVP front runner Joel Embiid 26 pts. Mikal Bridges has been playing great all season scored 30 pts for the nets but it wasn't enough. Can the Nets turn it around in game 2? Will Joel Embiid lead his team to a 2-0 lead in the series?
New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers might be the most anticipated series. Some much young talent for both teams. It was a very competitive game 1 with the Knicks winning 101 - 97. Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 27 pts and Julian Randle assisted with 19 pts and 10 rebs. Even though the Cavaliers didn't come away with the win they fought hard. Donavon Mitchell went crazy scoring 38 pts and 8 rebs, along with Jared Allen scoring 14 pts and 14 rebs. I am very excited to see how this series plays out.
The Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors series is another great one. Game 1 had everyone on the edge of their seats. Deaaron Fox exploded with 38 pts, along with Malik Monk off bench blazing hot with 32 pts. Very high scoring and exciting game. Steph Curry led the Warriors with 30 pts but couldn't secure the win. Game 2 is a must watch. Will the Kings go up 2-0 or will the Warriors come alive tie the series 1-1.
Phoenix Suns and LA Clippers game was amazing. So many superstar players competing, it was amazing. The Clippers dug deep and found a way to win without one of their main guy's Paul George. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 38 pts, and Russell Westbrook with 9pts 8 assists, and 11 rebs with a game winning block despite not shooting the best. Kevin Durant led the Suns with 27 pts and Devin Booker scored 26 but came up shy for the win. Game 2 will be a great, and we are excited to see who will come up with the win.
The Lakers with an impressive game 1 victory on the road. Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves played outstanding. Hachimura led the team with 29 pts, and Reaves with 23 pts. The leaders Lebron James scored 21 pts and 11 Rebs, Anthony Davis scored 22 pts and 12 Rebs along with 7 blocked shots. This team looked great in the opening weekend. Jaren Jackson is was incredible with 31 pts. Ja Morant left the game with a wrist injury, hopefully he is ok to return for game 2.
Can the lakers do it again on Wednesday in game 2 or will Memphis come alive for their fans and tie the series?
The Denver Nuggets cruised passed the Minnesota Timberwolves 109 - 80. The Nuggets had 6 players in double figures. Jamal Murray led the pack with 24 pts 8 assists and 8 rebs. Nikola Jokic the reigning MVP scored 13 pts 14 rebs and dished out 6 assists. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 18 pts but without much help from teammates they took a devastating loss. Will the Timberwolves find a way to turn it around or will the Nuggets control game 2 and take a commanding 2-0 lead?
